Exam Outline:

Reading:
  • 60 Minutes
  • 5 parts
    1. Matching sentences with texts.
    2. Picking a sentence to fit in gap in text.
    3. Multiple choice questions about a text.
    4. Fill in the blanks with correct vocabulary.
    5. Proof-read a text and eliminate extra words.
Writing:
  • 45 minutes
  • 2 parts
    1. Email/memo/note (informal) 40-50 words
    2. Letter/report (formal) 120-140 words
Listening:
  • 45 Minutes
  • 3 parts
    1. Listen to 3 telephone conversations and fill-in gaps (One or two words or numbers).
    2. Listen to two sets of 5 monologues. Match monologue with topics or functions.
    3. A long conversation or monologue. Multiple choice questions.


Speaking:
  • 15 minutes
  • 3 parts
    1. Personal info questions from examiner
    2. Present a topic (make 3-4 points) 60 seconds.
    3. Discuss/debate topic with 1-2 other participants (2 minutes). Come to a conclusion in the end.
